Oh, Ranger! ParkFinder

Oh, Ranger! ParkFinder is built on American Park Network’s database of more than 60,000 federal, state, and municipal parks and public lands. Carefully curated, the app allows users to find “things to do” based on 30 criteria (from auto touring to spelunking and fishing to wildlife watching) in their neighborhoods or along the route of their next road trip. If users register with the app, they are able to upload images, leave comments, check in, and get directions to parks.

Chimani is the leading national park mobile app. Our intuitive app draws on the power of GPS-enabled interactive mapping technology to guide your national park adventures.

Our guides include descriptions of points of interest, trails, amenities, and more. “No service” when you’re out in the wilderness? No problem. Chimani’s app works with or without WiFi or data signal.

Blue Ridge Parkway Travel Planner

Developed in partnership with the Blue Ridge Parkway Association, the BRPA app boasts information about the 469 miles that roadway that includes scenic places, historic sites, trails, overlooks, interpretive exhibits, visitor centers, lodging, services, and essential information for anyone visiting the Blue Ridge Parkway area.

The offers detailed information for the Parkway’s four major regions: Ridge, Plateau, Highlands and Pisgah, as well as information for the Shenandoah and Great Smoky Mountain National Park regions at the Parkway’s southern and northern terminus respectively. 

Users can explore the most popular national park entity in the U.S. by region, activity or proximity to your location. Download the app to access content during your trip to visit the Blue Ridge Parkway area, or use it to plan your vacation before you leave home.

Offline maps are available to help users navigate and locate points of interest when cellular service is lacking or spotty in some areas along the Parkway.
